The last couple of weeks have been spent in a whirlwind of changing weather patterns – we’ve gone from -13 degrees, right through, this morning at 8.00am, to 10 degrees centigrade!!! The snow and ice, at their freshest provided the most perfect reflector for lifestyle portrait photography that anyone could wish for- and at their worst and most miserable, gave me reason to remember this pretty wedding from last Summer…
Bev Harrison had asked me to 2nd shoot for her at the wedding of the most beautiful Rosie and her extremely lovely groom, Jon. The location was the 15th century Hales Hall Great Barn, built by an attorney to Henry Vlllth. It was such a privilege to be asked to witness and to help record, such a life changing event at a place that has seen so much over the last 600 years. Rosie is no stranger to weddings, for as an award winning make-up artist, she’s helped her fair share of brides – so she was able to bring all her expertise and design flair to her divinely pretty wedding. Not only did I get to enjoy the day with Bev, but my favourite wedding videographers, Sugarfish Productions, (aka the Sugarfish boys, Brendan and Gary), were there too. I’ve met them before, but this was my first time to see them in action, so to speak, and it was a huge pleasure to work alongside them. Rosie and Jon had invited all four of us to share their wedding feast with them – and we were all made to feel like very honoured guests and friends at their special day.
There are so many wonderful images from this wedding, that it’s been very hard to pick just a few for this blog – Thank you so much Bev for asking me along, and Rosie and Jon for having me there and providing me with such exquisite images xx
At the end of the pictures, please link to Isabelle, and look at her beautiful and inspiring pictures!!
