The engagement shoot of Norfolk farmer Jeremy with his beautiful bride to be Kathryn,
was quite a few months in the planning! As their beef cattle herd had several babies due to be born, the engagement shoot needed to be timed for when the calves were looking their sweetest. As well of course for fine weather.
The couple, who are getting married this weekend, wanted their engagement shoot to be where they love being the most. And that is on their farm in Norfolk, where they are building their home, as well as hosting their wedding celebration. When I arrived, I was in no doubt at all as to why this is their favourite place. Their herd of cows was friendly and happy, with the littles ones skipping around in great contentment. The views were magnificent, and showed why Norfolk is famous for it’s wide open skies. By the time we reached the field with the bull in it, I was completely confident with Jeremy and Kathryn’s understanding of the individual characters in the herd. I actually felt relaxed taking photos with the bull there! (Although I am even more relaxed to know he’s moving to a different meadow for the wedding)!
We had a great shoot. If you look carefully you might spot far on the horizon, the spire of Salle’s village church where the two will make their vows in less than 48 hours. And, as you look at their photos, you’ll see what I did, a couple who just ‘fit’ together in every possible way. It takes a couple who are not only very much in love, but also well matched, to take on the challenges of living, working, building a home and growing their business together. I have no doubt at all they will have a very happy marriage and future together.
Ps. Seeing the happy, healthy and grass fed herd, I have already asked to order my Christmas rib of beef from Jeremy and Kathryn’s farm. I know that their beef is sold very quickly, so do pay their website a visit here. And if you’re just looking for an idyllic camping spot for a Summer break, then I know they’ll welcome you very warmly. Information on camping can be found by clicking on this link, or by contacting them via the Camping and Caravanning Club. I’m a member, so I’ll definitely be booking in a stay!
Omg, I love these photos! You were very brave to venture into a field of cows!
I bet it’ll be a fabulous wedding
The cows were lovely! And yes I know it will be a fabulous wedding 😀
