A few weeks ago I was asked to photograph a joint birthday and wedding anniversary celebration at the great venue of Norwich Arts Centre. Gosh – it was one of the most fun evenings I have had in recent memory! The birthday girl, Dawn, is one of those energetic, warm and loving people, who goes all out to ensure her guests feel welcomed and special. It was clear as people arrived, dressed to the 9’s to fit the Hollywood theme, that they knew this and were thrilled to be part of this amazing evening. Husband David, as the joint wedding anniversary celebrator, was there to give a moving speech amidst non stop entertainment from a great variety of bands, dance tutors, a magician and Charlie Chaplin himself! And as a great memento of the evening, guests queued to have their photos taken in an inspired Hollywood styled area, after giving a small donation to the very deserving Sistema charity.
Dawn and David will always have these photographs to look back on their wonderful evening, showing their decision to have a professional photographer means an investment in their memories. Thank you so much for having me there. The next major birthday celebration I’ll be photographing will be my own father’s in a couple of weeks – but at 80, his will be a much more sedate affair!

Looks like one fab party! Loved Charlie!! How cool!
Ahh-mazing! Looks like everyone had a blast and you definitely captured the energy in the room!
I love that first photo of the man with the trumpet and your b&w conversion on the Chaplin one. I bet they're chuffed to bits that they booked you as their photographer!
