It seems appropriate for a Sisterhood Stories post, that I talk about new client and friend, Breathing Space. I first heard about this holistic retreat centre for women from a lifestyle shoot client. Then, a therapist, Sarah Morgan, who delivers retreats at the centre contacted me for new business head shots. Shortly after, I was invited to a birthday party where I met Mags, who began Breathing Space as a Community Interest Company, a place where women could go and rest, heal, laugh and cry and leave recharged.
Mags wanted a new set of photographs as the Breathing Space premises have recently moved into an amazing traditional Norfolk cottage, part thatched and extended over the years, the house has been done up to offer beautiful, vibrant yet peaceful accommodation for those staying. It sits in it’s own incredible share of Norfolk’s countryside, just around the corner from picturesque Hickling Broad. On the day I visited, some of the many therapists who offer retreats at Breathing Space were there for a meeting. Now a meeting where these like minded women are concerned includes amazing cake, a natural, fresh and healthy lunch and some demonstrations of their various lines of expertise with a chance to participate. As any woman will know, there is nothing quite like spending a few hours with other women to really get the laughter going – and the nail painting! And I fully intend to get there for one of Breathing Space’s Girlie Weekends just for starters!
So if you, or any woman you know, needs some time and space and laughter and safety, then I whole heartedly recommend you book into Breathing Space asap!
