Dogs and other pets are important members of families. A friend said that owning a dog helps a child develop normally. Well, I would dispute that from the evidence of my own children – but a walk with my dogs does get the youngest son away from the X-Box and even more importantly, as he’s at the age where it’s really uncool to smile, the dogs do force that smile out of him. Which is so lovely for me!
